Happy Olympics everyone! I don’t know about you but I’ve been glued to the TV. It’s been so fun to watch the amazing talent of all the athletes who have trained their whole lives, worked so hard, and put their heart and soul into their sports. I might have shed a few tears for strangers I don’t know fulfilling their dreams! It’s very inspiring.

Aaannnnnd it’s August! Summer just flew by. Unfortunately Arizona will still think its supposed to be summer weather until October. So go ahead and get out your pumpkins and fall scents but you’re going to want to leave your sweaters in the closet!

Tomorrow’s lesson is “Call, Don’t Fall” and it’s a great reminder for us to call on God. To lift up our voices to him and to pour out our souls to him. In his talk Elder Godoy tells us:

“This life, by its nature, brings painful experiences, some inherent to our physical bodies, some due to our weaknesses or afflictions, some due to the way others use their agency, and some due to our use of agency.

Is there a promise more powerful than the one the Savior Himself made when He declared, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock,” or call, “and it shall be opened unto you”?”

Man am I ever grateful for that promise! All we have to do is pray. It’s simple and it’s essential. Especially these days. We need that communication with God! So lets call so we don’t fall!

TEMPLE DAYS

Starting this year we will have two temple days a month! The days and times will change just so we can accommodate everyone’s schedules We hope each of you will be able to join us on one of those days. If it’s a sealing or initiatory day then we ask you to reserve that time for yourself. If you don’t know how to reserve a time then please call Sis. Cash at 505-803-0820 and she will walk you through how to do it. If it’s an endowment day then you can just go without reserving because they rarely fill up. We hope to see you there!!

  • NEW MINISTERING ASSIGNMENTS POSTED!!! Check on lds tools app to find who you visit. Or you can call or text any member of either RS Presidencies to find out.

  • Teacher supply drive is happening now! Last day to donate is August 15. There is a box in the church where you can drop donations! Here’s a list of things they need:

  • 24 pack Crayola crayons (Crayola brand only)

  • #2 pencils

  • Disinfecting wipes

  • Pocket folders

  • Glue Sticks

  • Wide Rule Composition Notebooks

  • Backpacks

  • Saturday Sept 7th, 9-12 at the stake center, Stake Women’s Conference in conjunction with 9/11 say of service. We will have a keynote speaker, Elaine Thornton, who is on the general RS council, followed by come and go service projects and a a yummy lunch!
