Happy New Year

Maplewood RS Newsletter

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! January is here and with it comes the opportunity to reassess ourselves. What do we want to do this year, who do we want to become, how are we going to make it happen? The sky is the limit! President Joseph B. Wirthlin said in his talk called “Life Lessons Learned”:

“I urge you to examine your life. Determine where you are and what you need to do to be the kind of person you want to be. Create inspiring, noble, and righteous goals that fire your imagination and create excitement in your heart. And then keep your eye on them. Work consistently towards achieving them.”

Goal making may be daunting for some because, lets face it, none of us like to fail and that is bound to happen. We’re all human, but don’t let that get you down because President Nelson just recently reminded us of this little gem. He said:

"So many wonderful things are ahead. In coming days, we will see the greatest manifestations of the Savior’s power that the world has ever seen. Between now and the time He returns “with power and great glory,” (Joseph Smith-Matthew 1:36), He will bestow countless privileges, blessings, and miracles upon the faithful.”

So keep your chins up and lets all help each other be the best people we can!
